The IME is ranked second comparing to the other commodity exchanges in the region in terms of trading volume and value.
According to the report from IME’s International Affairs and PR, Dr. Hamed Soltaninejad, the CEO of IME, combined with the above statement at a meeting of members of the International Public Relations Symposium Policy Council which was held on Monday in the IME, said that the second rank for the IME in the region is a national glory for all officials and people who have prepared the groundwork for launching the IME over last few years, and we hope we will be able to bolster the IME both domestically and internationally.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the IME's export ring witnessed trade of 135,000 tonnes of steel blooms, 42,352 tonnes of bitumen and 24 tonnes of acetic acid.
On Monday, April 22, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 118,205 tonnes of steel blooms and 750 tonnes of CRC on its metals and minerals trading floor.
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 1,054,897 tonnes of cement.
