Vacuum Bottom Traded on IME

On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the IME's open auction trading floor witnessed trade of 80,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 10,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate and 3,480 tonnes of styrene monomer.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 7,650 tonnes of CRC, 3,200 tonnes of copper wires, 3,000 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 2,912 tonnes of U-channels, 2,040 tonnes of angle bars, 725 tonnes of alloy rebars, 350 tonnes of tinplate sheets, 300 tonnes of aluminum billets, 80 tonnes of aluminum wires, 75 tonnes of zinc ingots and 50 trucks.

Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 20,000 tonnes of lube cut (light grade), 1,404 tonnes of PDA TAR, 250 tonnes of bitumen, 52 tonnes of base oil, 26 tonnes of slack wax and 15 tonnes of polycarbonate (PC) and on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 65,900 tonnes of bitumen, 4,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets and 40 tonnes of acetic acid.

There were also 19,964 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 302,579 recyclable car accessories, 1,580 tonnes of steel scraps, 1,000 tonnes of iron phosphate, 1,000 wooden box wastes, 645 tonnes of cast iron scraps, 150 tonnes of aluminum scraps, 100 tonnes of molybdenum oxide and 60 tonnes of glass wool.
