IME Customers Purchased Steel Blooms

On Monday, February 26, 2024, the IME's metals and minerals trading floor witnessed trade of 163,588 tonnes of steel blooms.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 25,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 9,200 tonnes of CRC, 5,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 3,000 tonnes of low-grade copper, 1,090 tonnes of zinc ingots, 1,000 tonnes of aluminum oxide and 950 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide traded on the same floor.

There were also 197,132 tonnes of cement sold on its cement trading floor.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 3,371 tonnes of base oil, 175 tonnes of granular sulfur, 104 tonnes of PDA TAR, 95 tonnes of bitumen and 69 tonnes of paraffin wax.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 25,040 tonnes of bitumen and 140 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

Moreover, the IME sold 166,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 4,040 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate, 473 tonnes of PVC and 240 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 2,700 empty drums, 1,200 tonnes of steel blooms, 1,000 tonnes of tissues, 300 tonnes of oil, 394 tonnes of metal scraps and 50 tonnes of heavy oil traded on it.
