Trade of Steel Blooms on IME

On Monday, December 11, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 206,350 tonnes of steel blooms on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 12,500 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 5,550 tonnes of CRC, 5,000 tonnes of tinplate sheets, 550 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 500 tonnes of color rolled steel sheets, 150 tonnes of cast iron ingots and 125 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

There were also 232,474 tonnes of cement sold on its cement trading floor.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 1,797 tonnes of base oil, 822 tonnes of polymeric products, 230 tonnes of slack wax, 200 tonnes of bitumen and 20 tonnes of paraffin wax (heavy grade).

Furthermore, the IME saw trade of 36,000 tonnes of steel slabs and 506 tonnes of PVC on its open auction trading floor.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 26,650 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 25,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 2,000 tonnes of steel blooms, 1,000 tonnes of heavy oil, 200 tonnes of butadiene, 40 tonnes of acrylic staple fiber (ASF) and 15 tonnes of glass wool traded on it.
