Cement Ranks First on the First Day of the Week

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 913,625 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 545,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 102,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 37,080 tonnes of steel sheets, 5,910 tonnes of steel blooms, 5,321 tonnes of rebars and 4,829 tonnes of I-beams traded on its metals and minerals trading floor.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 27,000 tonnes of lube cut, 5,591 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,088 tonnes of chemicals, 2,100 tonnes of bitumen, 850 tonnes of slack wax, 220 tonnes of argon, 184 tonnes of paraffin wax and 150 tonnes of granular sulfur.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 21,060 tonnes of bitumen, 4,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 156 tonnes of base oil.

Last but not least was the IME's open auction trading floor with 200,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 72,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom and 240 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI) traded on it.
