Trade of Iron Ore on IME

On Saturday, January 13, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 750,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps and 180,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate on its open auction trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 470,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 99,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 35,090 tonnes of HRC, 7,836 tonnes of rebars, 6,000 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 4,900 tonnes of CRC, 3,845 tonnes of I-beams and 3,650 tonnes of steel blooms.

There were also 17,257 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 85,920 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 35,130 tonnes of lube cut, 2,545 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,581 tonnes of chemicals, 1,050 tonnes of bitumen and 610 tonnes of sulfur on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 44,000 tonnes of bitumen and 43,835 tonnes of steel blooms.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 15 tonnes of glass wool traded on it.
