Trade of Iron Ore on IME

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 380,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 95,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 50,000 tonnes of zinc dust, 13,585 tonnes of steel blooms, 7,099 tonnes of rebars, 6,491 tonnes of I-beams, 3,100 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 1,000 tonnes of steel slabs and 300 tonnes of CRC for auto-makers traded on the same floor.

Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 19,500 tonnes of lube cut, 1,530 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,330 tonnes of chemicals, 625 tonnes of sulfur and 26 tonnes of base oil on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.

There were also 1,330 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

IME's open auction trading floor was the next which saw trade of 100,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 70,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom and 240 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI).

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 82,060 tonnes of bitumen and 234 tonnes of base oil.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 90 tonnes of glass wool traded on it.
