Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, January 14, 2024, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 928,733 tonnes of cement.
Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 30,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 5,600 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 3,200 tonnes of low-grade copper, 2,210 tonnes of zinc ingots, 1,000 tonnes of aluminum oxide, 625 tonnes of rebars and 600 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

Also, the IME sold 4,000 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate and 200 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

Next trading floor was the IME's oil and petrochemical with trade of 6,316 tonnes of polymeric products, 6,870 tonnes of lube cut, 4,580 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 1,967 tonnes of slack wax, 993 tonnes of chemicals, 320 tonnes of argon, 200 tonnes of bitumen and 70 tonnes of paraffin wax.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 39,919 tonnes of bitumen, 10,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 10,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 150 tonnes of tissues.
