According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 37,609 tonnes of rebars, 11,592 tonnes of I-beams, 2,700 tonnes of steel blooms, 500 tonnes of HRC, 500 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 250 tonnes of CRC and 50 trucks.
Furthermore, the IME saw trade of 27,646 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.
Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 10,731 tonnes of chemicals, 5,575 tonnes of bitumen, 1,990 tonnes of polymeric products and 23 tonnes of paraffin wax.
It's worth noting as well that the IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 94,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 1,000 tonnes of o-xylene, 912 tonnes of styrene monomer, 605 tonnes of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), 340 tonnes of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and 144 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).
Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 76,481 recyclable car accessories, 10,485 battery wastes, 7,558 auto assembly line scraps, 1,107 tonnes of steel scraps, 547 rubber wastes, 500 wooden box wastes, 500 empty drums, 150 tonnes of butadiene, 150 tonnes of metal pipes (grade 2), 132 plastic barrel wastes, 80 wood wastes, 45 tonnes of glass wool, 16 auto body scraps, 10 tonnes of plastic wastes and 7 tonnes of copper scraps.
