Trade of Iron Ore on IME

On Saturday, January 20, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 420,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 59,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 14,860 tonnes of steel blooms, 10,600 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets for auto-makers, 7,948 tonnes of rebars, 6,688 tonnes of I-beams, 600 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets for auto-makers, 150 tonnes of CRC for auto-makers and 150 tonnes of CRC.

Also, the IME sold 25,855 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 18,000 tonnes of lube cut, 1,783 tonnes of chemicals, 104 tonnes of PDA TAR and 26 tonnes of oil.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 15,535 tonnes of bitumen.

There were also 215,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 100,000 tonnes of fine iron ore, 19,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 7,500 tonnes of iron ore lumps and 312 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) sold on its open auction trading floor.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 5,000 tonnes of DRI sludge wastes, 2,000 tonnes of mill scale scraps, 700 tonnes of bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry) and 35 tonnes of steel scraps.
