Cement Ranks First on the First Day of the Week

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 1,073,956 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 299,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 23,500 tonnes of steel blooms, 9,255 tonnes of I-beams, 6,703 tonne of rebars and 1,500 tonnes of CRC (for home appliance manufacturers and auto-makers).

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 12,000 tonnes of lube cut, 6,997 tonnes of polymeric products, 4,781 tonnes of bitumen, 3,046 tonnes of chemicals, 800 tonnes of granular sulfur, 746 tonnes of slack wax, 540 tonnes of argon and 529 tonnes of paraffin wax.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 31,560 tonnes of bitumen, 7,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 100 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

Last was the IME's open auction trading floor which saw trade of 180,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 82,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom and 300 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI).
