Rebars Traded on IME

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 55,011 tonnes of rebars on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 45,500 tonnes of zinc dust, 11,960 tonnes of I-beams, 1,400 tonnes of HRC, 2,159 tonnes of angle bars, 1,940 tonnes of U-channels and 100 tonnes of aluminum billets traded on the same floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 14,030 tonnes of chemicals, 1,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 504 tonnes of slack wax (heavy grade), 125 tonnes of bitumen and 71 tonnes of polymeric products.

Moreover, the IME sold 6,626 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 4,008 tonnes of styrene monomer, 1,453 tonnes of 2-ethylhexanol, 580 tonnes of o-xylene, 400 tonnes of toluene diisocyanate (TDI), 308 tonnes of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) and 198 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) on its open auction trading floor.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 23,833 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 2 tonnes of printing & writing papers traded on it.
