On Saturday, August 6, 2022, commodities traded on IME weight 1,387,137 tonnes.
Cement Ranks First on the First Day of the Week

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 338,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 9,500 tonnes of steel blooms, 55,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 500 tonnes of rebars and 2,012 tonnes of I-beams traded on its metals and minerals trading floor.

Based on this report, customers purchased 100,000 tonnes fine iron ore, 45,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 100,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps and 10,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom on the IME's open auction trading floor.

Moreover, the IME's cement trading floor sold 692,824 tonnes of cement.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring played host to trades of 12,300 tonnes of bitumen and 235 tonnes of insulation.

On its oil and petrochemical trading floor the IME sold 5,180 tonnes of polymeric products, 10,451 tonnes of chemicals, 1,500 tonnes of bitumen and 520 tonnes of PDA TAR.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 3,948 tonnes of tissues and coil rebars traded on it.
