On Sunday, May 5, 2024, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 1,021,686 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 261,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 139,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,600 tonnes of steel blooms, 6,092 tonnes of I-beams, 4,550 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets (for auto-makers), 4,130 tonnes of rebars and 700 tonnes of CRC for home appliance manufacturers.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 8,603 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,667 tonnes of chemicals, 1,006 tonnes of slack wax, 552 tonnes of paraffin wax, 530 tonnes of argon and 100 tonnes of granular sulfur.

Moreover, the IME sold 300,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps, 185,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate and 516 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) on its open auction trading floor.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 52,000 tonnes of steel blooms and 36,895 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 250 tonnes of brass scraps, 210 tonnes of tissues, 100 tonnes of sodium lauryl ether sulfate and 45 tonnes of metal scraps traded on it.
