3.3 Million Tonnes of Commodities Traded on IME

Within the week ending on June 2, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 3,293,246 tonnes of commodities and 150 vehicles with a total trading value of more than 655 million USD on its physical market, posting growths of 15% in volume and 1.3% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.
3.3 Million Tonnes of Commodities Traded on IME

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,704,153 tonnes of commodities and 150 vehicles valued at more than 402 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 1,323,266 tonnes of cement, 977,000 tonnes of iron ore, 305,223 tonnes of steel, 129,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 59,120 tonnes of zinc, 10,700 tonnes of copper, 9,590 tonnes of aluminum, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 150 vehicles.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 473,960 tonnes of commodities worth more than 207 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 134,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 129,608 tonnes of bitumen, 101,982 tonnes of polymeric products, 42,171 tonnes of chemicals, 37,000 tonnes of lube cut, 25,000 tonnes of sulfur, 4,243 tonnes of base oil, 260 tonnes of feedstocks and 100 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 115,134 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
