IME Customers Purchased Steel Blooms

On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, the IME's metals and minerals trading floor witnessed trade of 107,405 tonnes of steel blooms.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 2,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 10,050 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 7,500 tonnes of tinplate sheets, 6,300 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 500 tonnes of low-grade copper, 25 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide and 1,040 tonnes of zinc ingots.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 23,834 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,856 tonnes of base oil, 1,293 tonnes of slack wax (heavy & light grades), 200 tonnes of sulfur lumps, 100 tonnes of paraffin wax (heavy grade), 80 tonnes of argon, 50 tonnes of prilled urea and 104 tonnes of PDA TAR.

There were also 13,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 3,000 tonnes of copper cathode, 506 tonnes of PVC and 190 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur sold on its open auction trading floor.

Moreover, the IME sold 160,650 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

It's worth noting that the IME's export ring played host to trade of 24,065 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 1,000 tonnes of heavy oil and 200 tonnes of butadiene traded on it.
