Iron Ore Pellets Traded on IME

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 418,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 111,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 45,500 tonnes of CRS for auto-makers, 35,090 tonnes of HRS for auto-makers, 12,250 tonnes of CRS for home appliance manufacturers, 1,000 tonnes of rebars, 1,866 tonnes of I-beams and 25 tonnes of U-channels.

Based on this report, the exchange saw trade of 22,000 tonnes of lube cut (light & heavy grades), 4,043 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,873 tonnes of chemicals, 1,241 tonnes of bitumen and 860 tonnes of granular sulfur on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.

Moreover, the IME sold 6,805 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

Next was the IME's open auction trading floor with trade of 370,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 58,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 280 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI) and 54 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 39,065 tonnes of bitumen and 100 tonnes of insulation.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 1,490 tonnes of rebars (made of alloy steel), 1,412 tonnes of coil rebars, 60 tonnes of glass wool and 30 tonnes of tissues traded on it.
