Trade of Saffron on IME

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 1.5 tonnes of saffron on its agricultural trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 26,867 tonnes of rebars, 12,746 tonnes of I-beams, 6,200 tonnes of HRC and 4,000 tonnes of sponge iron.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 21,509 tonnes of chemicals, 3,678 tonnes of polymeric products, 865 tonnes of bitumen and 115 tonnes of paraffin wax.

There were also 16,490 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

IME's open auction trading floor was the next which saw trade of 800 tonnes of o-xylene, 768 tonnes of styrene monomer, 598 tonnes of 2-ethylhexanol, 550 tonnes of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) and 340 tonnes of toluene diisocyanate (TDI).

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 150,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 30,450 tonnes of bitumen, 10,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots and 52 tonnes of slack wax.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 30 rubber wastes, 20,000 tonnes of barite lumps, 500 tonnes of DRI sludge wastes, 100 tonnes of steel scraps, 2 tonnes of plastic wastes and 2 tonnes of copper scraps traded on it.
