Iron Ore Pellets Traded on IME

On Saturday, July 29, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 303,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 100,700 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,120 tonnes of I-beams, 1,200 tonnes of rebars, 1,000 tonnes of CRS for auto-makers and 450 tonnes of steel blooms traded on the same floor.

Based on this report, the IME sold 20,000 tonnes of sulfur lumps, 3,620 tonnes of chemicals, 2,674 tonnes of polymeric products and 520 tonnes of granular sulfur.

IME's open auction trading floor was the next which saw trade of 172,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 50,000 tonnes of fine iron ore, 21,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 1,453 tonnes of 2-ethylhexanol and 348 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

Moreover, the IME sold 6,960 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

It's worth noting that the IME's export ring played host to trade of 34,260 tonnes of bitumen, 7,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 200 tonnes of insulation.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 1,987 tonnes of coil rebars, 1,400 tonnes of alloy steel ingots, 1,025 tonnes of rebars (made of alloy steel) and 26 tonnes of tissues traded on it.
