Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, July 30, 2023, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 858,241 tonnes of cement.
Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 20,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 10,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 5,200 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 1,360 tonnes of zinc ingots, 1,000 tonnes of CRS for auto-makers, 700 tonnes of low-grade copper and 170 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 4,412 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,081 tonnes of slack wax, 908 tonnes of chemicals, 599 tonnes of bitumen, 250 tonnes of argon, 80 tonnes of granular sulfur and 80 tonnes of paraffin wax (heavy grade).

In addition to that, the IME sold 4,000 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonneso f sodium sulfate and 250 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 28,405 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 5,000 tonnes of phosphate concentrate, 3,450 empty drums, 650 tonnes of bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry), 200 tonnes of polyethylene wax, 140 tonnes of molybdenum oxide and 100 tonnes of aluminum oxide.
