Iron Ore Traded on IME

On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the IME's open auction trading floor witnessed trade of 7,500 tonnes of fine iron ore and 4,560 tonnes of styrene monomer.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 30,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 4,500 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 1,250 tonnes of CRC, 1,469 tonnes of angle bars, 720 tonnes of U-channels, 410 tonnes of aluminum alloy ingots, 400 tonnes of aluminum billets, 300 tonnes of tinplate sheets and 25 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide traded on its metals and minerals trading floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 104 tonnes of base oil, 87 tonnes of polymeric products and 52 tonnes of PDA TAR.

There were also 16,640 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 69,460 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 700 tonnes of steel scraps, 629 tonnes of auto assembly line scraps, 500 tonnes of bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry), 184 tonnes of aluminum scraps and 100 tonnes of molybdenum oxide.
