Trade of 458,570 tonnes of Commodities on IME

On Monday, September 18, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 37,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 4,040 tonnes of copper cathode, 506 tonnes of PVC and 200 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 114,080 tonnes of steel blooms, 7,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 4,050 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 1,900 tonnes of low-grade copper, 1,300 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 1,000 tonnes of cast iron ingots, 400 tonnes of zinc ingots and 225 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

Also, the IME sold 171,133 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 29,538 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,554 tonnes of base oil, 1,000 tonnes of bitumen and 80 tonnes of liquid ammonia.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 80,339 tonnes of bitumen and 200 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 700 tonnes of heavy oil, 150 tonnes of butadiene, 120 tonnes of glass wool, 40 tonnes of metal pipes (grade 2) and 15 tonnes of steel scraps.
