Cement Ranks First on the First Day of the Week

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 864,188 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 250,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 121,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 6,500 tonnes of steel blooms and 1,957 tonnes of rebars traded on its metals and minerals trading floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 54,346 tonnes of chemicals and polymeric products.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 47,100 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's open auction trading floor with 60,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 7,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate, 300 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI) and 54 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) traded on it.
