Trade of Steel Blooms on IME

On Monday, August 21, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 103,930 tonnes of steel blooms on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 13,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 5,250 tonnes of color rolled steel sheets, 1,050 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets, 1,050 tonnes of CRS and 25 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide on the same floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 27,013 tonnes of polymeric products, 10,535 tonnes of bitumen, 2,048 tonnes of base oil and 80 tonnes of argon.

Furthermore, the IME sold 138,650 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

Based on this report, IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 5,000 tonnes of steel slabs type C, 506 tonnes of PVC and 40 tonnes of copper cathode.

It's worth noting that the IME's export ring played host to trade of 38,720 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 10,000 tonnes of barite lumps, 6,990 tonnes of steel blooms, 600 tonnes of heavy oil, 280 tonnes of polyester staple fiber (PSF), 250 tonnes of butadiene, 206 tonnes of steel scraps, 20 tonnes of metal pipes (grade 2) and 7 tonnes of bulk continuous filament (BCF).
