620,471 tonnes of Commodities Traded on IME

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 350,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 64,800 tonnes of sponge iron, 45,700 tonnes of CRS for auto-makers, 35,090 tonnes of HRS for auto-makers, 10,750 tonnes of CRS for home appliance manufacturers, 4,163 tonnes of I-beams, 3,420 tonnes of steel blooms, 3,303 tonnes of rebars, 700 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets and 25 tonnes of aluminum billets traded on the same floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 2,842 tonnes of polymeric products, 2,574 tonnes of PDA TAR, 1,403 tonnes of chemicals and 300 tonnes of granular sulfur.

Moreover, the IME sold 3,705 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade of 24,415 tonnes of bitumen and 5,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots.

Also, the IME sold 30,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 20,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate and 280 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI) on its open auction trading floor.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 2,001 tonnes of coil rebars.
