Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, August 27, 2023, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 1,036,339 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 20,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 5,000 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide, 4,500 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 3,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 2,000 tonnes of low-grade copper and 25 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 4,390 tonnes of bitumen, 3,233 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,484 tonnes of slack wax, 420 tonnes of argon, 70 tonnes of paraffin wax and 70 tonnes of chemicals.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 40,000 tonnes of steel blooms, 5,000 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 3,000 tonnes of granular sulfur, 1,000 tonnes of linear alkylbenzene and 110 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

Moreover, the IME sold 5,400 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate and 260 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 750 tonnes of bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry), 75 tonnes of aluminum oxide and 20 tonnes of calcium hypochlorite.
