Trade of Iron Ore Pellets

On Saturday, October 21, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 297,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 151,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 56,800 tonnes of CRC (for auto-makers and home appliance manufacturers), 39,050 tonnes of HRC for auto-makers, 8,315 tonnes of rebars, 4,807 tonnes of I-beams, 500 tonnes of metallurgocal coke and 100 tonnes of aluminum alloy ingots traded on the same floor.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 10,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 1,603 tonnes of chemicals, 1,060 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,000 tonnes of lube cut (light grade), 250 tonnes of bitumen, 100 tonnes of granular sulfur and 25 tonnes of PDA TAR.

There were also 24,250 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

IME's open auction trading floor was the next which saw trade of 100,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate and 354 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

It's worth noting that the export ring played host to trade 19,075 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 50,000 tonnes of pellet fine wastes, 3,000 tonnes of DRI sludge wastes and 2,852 tonnes of coil rebars.
