Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, July 16, 2023, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 957,495 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 30,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 4,800 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 2,400 tonnes of low-grade copper and 700 tonnes of CRS.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trade of 4,943 tonnes of polymeric products, 1,475 tonnes of slack wax, 1,370 tonnes of chemicals, 725 tonnes of bitumen, 280 tonnes of argon and 100 tonnes of granular sulfur.

In addition to that, the IME sold 4,000 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate and 210 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 43,120 tonnes of bitumen and 140 tonnes of insulation.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 30,000 tonnes of pellet fines & DRI sludge wastes, 650 tonnes of bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry), 350 tonnes of aluminum oxide, 300 tonnes of glass wool, 90 tonnes of tissues and 60 tonnes of molybdenum oxide traded on it.
