Iron Ore Traded on IME

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, the IME's metals and minerals trading floor witnessed trade of 254,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 131,200 tonnes of sponge iron, 35,090 tonnes of HRS for auto-makers, 66 tonnes of rebars and 3,565 tonnes of I-beams traded on the same floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 18,316 tonnes of chemicals, 13,780 tonnes of lube cut (heavy & light grade), 4,812 tonnes of polymeric products, 2,825 tonnes of sulfur lumps, 1,800 tonnes of granular sulfur and 1,014 tonnes of PDA TAR.

There was also 4,930 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

Based on this report, IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 50 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 100,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps, 13,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 320 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI), 54 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (Flexible Polyurethane Foam) and 54 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 18,860 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 220 tonnes of coil rebars and 75 tonnes of glass wool.
