Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 1,026,603 tonnes of cement.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 24,000 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 5,050 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 1,000 tonnes of low-grade copper, 885 tonnes of zinc ingots, 575 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide and 175 tonnes of lead ingots.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 8,900 tonnes of lube cut (heavy grade), 5,323 tonnes of polymeric products, 5,300 tonnes of bitumen, 2,464 tonnes of slack wax, 809 tonnes of chemicals, 280 tonnes of argon and 200 tonnes of paraffin wax (heavy grade).

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 25,680 tonnes of bitumen.

Moreover, the IME sold 4,040 tonnes of copper cathode, 3,000 tonnes of sodium sulfate and 200 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur on its open auction trading floor.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 500 tonnes of aluminum oxide.
