Commodities Traded on IME Exceeds 2.7 Million tonnes

Within the week ending on September 8, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 2,685,623 tonnes of commodities and 81 vehicles with a total trading value of more than 564 million USD on its physical market.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,116,617 tonnes of commodities and 81 vehicles valued at more than 298 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 1,202,871 tonnes of cement, 559,000 tonnes of iron ore, 195,903 tonnes of steel, 145,600 tonnes of sponge iron, 65,875 tonnes of aluminum, 6,175 tonnes of copper, 1,145 tonnes of zinc, 450 tonnes of cast iron and 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's agricultural trading floor saw trade of 830 kg of saffron.

Moreover, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 505,074 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 235 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 163,973 tonnes of bitumen, 160,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 88,693 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,000 tonnes of lube cut, 28,387 tonnes of chemicals, 14,200 tonnes of sulfur, 7,276 tonnes of petroleum products, 5,294 tonnes of oil and 350 tonnes of feedstocks.

The IME also traded within the same week 63,932 tonnes of goods on its side market.
