Trade of Zinc Dust on IME

On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, the IME witnessed trade of 40,000 tonnes of zinc dust on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange also sold on the same floor 33,555 tonnes of rebars, 12,653 tonnes of I-beams, 10,200 tonnes of steel sheets, 2,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 1,400 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 841 tonnes of U-channels and angles, 200 tonnes of steel blooms and 25 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide.

On its oil and petrochemical trading floor the IME sold 6,372 tonnes of chemicals, 4,862 tonnes of polymeric products and 110 tonnes of bitumen.

Moreover, the IME experienced trade of 10,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 1,100 tonnes of 2-Ethylhexanol, 320 tonnes of toluene diisocyanate and 126 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate on its open auction trading floor.

Also, the exchange traded on its export ring 38,530 tonnes of bitumen, 1,500 tonnes of 1000lb aluminum ingots, 3,000 tonnes of copper cathodes and 789 tonnes of PVC.

Furthermore, the IME sold 13,480 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

Last was the IME's side market on which the IME saw trades of 275 tonnes of butadiene and plastic scraps.
