On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the IME witnessed trade of 159,820 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 54,200 tonnes of steel blooms, 3,279 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 3,320 tonnes of copper cathodes, 450 tonnes of zinc ingots, 500 tonnes of low-grade copper and 75 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide sold on its metals and minerals trading floor.

Based on this report, customers purchased 4,200 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 20,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 150 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur and 24 tonnes of precious metals concentrate on the IME's open auction trading floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 25,667 tonnes of polymeric products, 2,230 tonnes of bitumen, 1,400 tonnes of chemicals, 671 tonnes of slack wax, 69 tonnes of motor oil and 40 tonnes of argon.

In addition to that, the exchange played host to trading 5,000 tonnes of aluminum, 3,800 tonnes of bitumen, 2,500 tonnes of cement and 20 tonnes of acetic acid on its export ring.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 3,246 tonnes of dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP), anhydride phthalic, aluminum oxide, bituminous anodes (used in aluminum reduction industry) and metal scraps.
