Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, the IME's cement trading floor witnessed trade of 924,433 tonnes of cement.
Cement Ranks First on the Second Day of the Week

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 15,500 tonnes of hot briquetted sponge iron (HBSI), 4,725 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 1,300 tonnes of low-grade copper, 375 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide and 875 tonnes of zinc ingots.

In addition to that, the IME sold 4,620 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,931 tonnes of chemicals, 1,506 tonnes of slack wax (heavy & light grades), 350 tonnes of bitumen, 230 tonnes of argon and 100 tonnes of paraffin wax (heavy grade) on its oil and petrochemical trading floor.

Based on this report, IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 4,000 tonnes of copper cathode and 200 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 13,000 tonnes of bitumen.

Last was the IME's side market trading floor which saw trade of 2,200 tonnes of phosphate concentrate, 1,500 tonnes of aluminum oxide, 1,038 tonnes of tissues, 465 tonnes of glass wool and 377 tonnes of printing & writing papers.
