Trade of Steel Blooms on IME

On Monday, September 19, 2022, the IME witnessed trade of 151,160 tonnes of steel blooms on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 285 tonnes of zinc ingots, 6,650 tonnes of aluminum ingots, 500 tonnes of aluminum billets, 225 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide, 4,000 tonnes of copper cathodes, 2,500 tonnes of low-grade copper and 4 kg of gold bars.

Moreover, IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 90,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 195 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur and 506 tonnes of PVC.

Next was the IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor with trades of 26,362 tonnes of polymeric products, 2,571 tonnes of base oil, 100 tonnes of sulfur, 95 tonnes of bitumen, 3,000 tonnes of lube cut, 26 tonnes of slack wax, 161 tonnes of paraffin wax and 1,300 tonnes of PDA TAR.

Also, the exchange traded 180,278 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

It's worth noting that the IME also traded 8,000 tonnes of bitumen and 140 tonnes of  insulation on its export pit.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 19,905 tonnes of molybdenum oxide, aluminum oxide, polyester staple fiber (PSF), metal scraps, steel blooms, butadiene, empty drums and steel slabs.
