Trade of Steel Sheets on IME

On Monday, May 15, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 300,080 tonnes of HRS, 179,230 tonnes of steel blooms, 7,600 tonnes of CRS, 5,300 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets and 3,000 tonnes of tinplate sheets on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 50,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets, 375 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide, 20 tonnes of aluminum billets, 50 tonnes of aluminum alloy ingots and 500 Cara pickup cars (regular and extended cab) traded on the same floor.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 17,752 tonnes of polymeric products, 7,000 tonnes of lube cut (light grade), 2,020 tonnes of bitumen, 1,417 tonnes of base oil, 850 tonnes of granular sulfur and 200 tonnes of sulfur lumps.

Also, the IME sold 143,964 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

IME's open auction trading floor was the next which saw trade of 80,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 4,000 tonnes of copper cathode and 506 tonnes of PVC.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 82,363 tonnes of bitumen and 100 tonnes of insulation.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 40,000 tonnes of steel slabs, 5,000 tonnes of steel blooms, 1,830 tonnes of tissues, 1,000 tonnes of aluminum oxide, 944 tonnes of metal pipes (grade 2), 600 tonnes of heavy oil, 100 tonnes of butadiene and 60 tonnes of polyester staple fiber (PSF).
