Bitumen Traded on IME's Export Ring

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the IME witnessed trade of 33,000 tonnes of bitumen, 20,000 tonnes of steel blooms, 4,000 tonnes of copper cathodes and 300 tonnes of aluminum ingots on its export ring.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 38,562 tonnes of rebars, 24,891 tonnes of I-beams, 454 tonnes of angle bars, 300 tonnes of U-channels, 20,000 tonnes of zinc dust and 30 tonnes of copper billets traded on its metals and minerals floor.

Based on this report, IME's open auction trading floor saw trade of 55,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 4,440 tonnes of styrene monomer, 1,380 tonnes of 2-ethylhexanol, 550 tonnes of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), 400 tonnes of toluene diisocyanate (TDI), 144 tonnes of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate and 48 tonnes of precious metals concentrate.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 20,000 tonnes of lube cut, 9,404 tonnes of chemicals and 2,163 tonnes of polymeric products.

There was also 12,449 tonnes of cement sold in matching trading system.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 3,683 tonnes of brass sheets and strips, metal scraps, auto body scraps and 600 empty drums.
