IME Customers Purchased Iron Ore

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the IME's metals and minerals trading floor witnessed trade of 266,000 tonnes of iron ore pellets.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the IME sold on the same floor 148,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 500 tonnes of steel blooms, 1,848 tonnes of rebars, 11,000 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets for auto-makers, 4,899 tonnes of I-beams, 355 tonnes of railway rails and 100 tonnes of U-channels.

Based on this report, IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor saw trade of 59,000 tonnes of lube cut (heavy & light grades), 18,213 tonnes of chemicals, 1,888 tonnes of polymeric products, 870 tonnes of granular sulfur and 500 tonnes of bitumen.

There were also 220,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrate, 20,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom and 300 tonnes of polymeric MDI (PMDI) sold on its open auction trading floor.

Moreover, the IME sold 4,315 tonnes of cement in matching trading system.

It's worth noting that the IME's export ring played host to trade of 12,000 tonnes of granular sulfur and 7,640 tonnes of bitumen.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 220 tonnes of coil rebars and 330 tonnes of rebars (made of alloy steel) traded on it.
